Honeydew Mint Mojito

When you take out the blender to make a cocktail, you are making a declarative step to make something extraordinary. This isn’t a Tuesday after work kind of whipped-together bourbon and a dash of bitters deal. Blender drinks involve chopping, blending, crushing and ultimately washing dishware as well. I recommend you make it a declarative by announcing your intentions in a loud, clear voice, “I’m making mojitos!” If you say it loud enough and in the right neighborhood, you might also make some new friends.
Start by juicing six limes. Yes, that may require another appliance, but there are alternatives. Maybe you have very strong hands and you can just squeeze the juice from the limes. That might be a life goal of yours, in which case I recommend you start working out with one of those rubber balls. Another option is to double bag the limes and run them over with your car. Clean-up is pretty easy with the car tire method.
Once you have the lime juice, add:
one honeydew melon
1/4 cup mint
6 oz. white rum
2 cups of crushed ice
1 tbs. agave nectar
Blend it like you mean it. Pour the mixture over more crushed ice and add a sprig of mint just to be fancy. Now all that is left to do is let the summertime roll with your honeydew mint mojito. That and clean the blender.
